Concrete Scanning at Chase Bank

An electrical contractor was hired to install electric for a new customer service desk at a Chase Bank branch. The new desk required saw cutting the concrete to install the electric. The contractor was concerned about live power and communication lines in and below the slab. GPRS was hired to scan the saw cut trench line to locate the conduits.

GPRS met the contractor on site and walked the job scope. The contractor laid out the dimensions of the saw cut area. Using GPR technology, GPRS was able to scan the entire area checking for conduits in and below the slab. A utility wand which locates live power and communication lines was also used on site. By using both services, GPRS can effectively locate potential risks before the work begins saving hundreds of dollars and ensuring the safety of the workers.
