Welcome to Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc.

We use the latest ground penetrating technology to provide critical information on utilities, materials, and other potential obstructions within existing structures or underground.  Fast and reliable, GPRS provides both two- and three-dimensional images of the scanned areas without delivering any radiation.  All of our equipment is registered and meets all standard FCC regulations.

Utilizing GPR reduces risk and cost, promotes a safe work environment, and provides non-destructive testing by locating materials such as concrete, plastic, metal, steel, rock, soil, ice, and pavement.  Our client base includes hospitals, universities, surveyors, engineers, homeowners, contractors, environmentalists, and excavators.

Latest News: GPRS Now Offers the Latest in GPS Technology

GPR and GPS MappingGPRS is excited to provide global positioning system (GPS) technology for use on your outdoor projects, such as environmental surveys and the detection of underground utility layouts.  In conjunction with our GPR and electromagnetic induction technologies, we use a hand-held GPS device to create a comprehensive map of the underground area of your job site that then can be overlaid onto CAD documents and / or Google Earth maps.  Utilizing GPS technology along with our GPR and EMI services will give you a permanent record of the physical reference points of your project area’s underground environmental / utility layout.  For more information on this resource, please contact your local GPRS representative today!

GPRS provides service for the following applications:

Concrete testing

With 18 locations across the US, GPRS has a GSSI certified technician ready to serve any size project in your area.  In addition to our recent work on Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago we are proud to have worked with companies in Texas (Kniffin Surveying and Cobb Mechanical), Florida (Uretek, SWS First Response, Florida Industrial Electric and SMW Engineering), Kentucky (Gallatin Steel), Ohio (The Cleveland Clinic, Arcadis, Rupolph Libbe and Net Jets of Berkshire Hathaway), North Carolina (GameTime), North Carolina (RT Dooley and Robins & Morton), Alabama (IVI Environmental) Colorado (Turner Construction).

Remember, our mission is to provide solutions to the critical problems our customers face regarding the location of hidden elements in concrete and underground. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems is, "The New Way to X-ray." Contact us today to meet all your detection needs!

“Ground Penetrating Radar Systems has been a tremendous asset for Hensel Phelps during the project at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.  GPRS has done an excellent job in locating the sub-grade utilities in the areas needed.  They are always on time and are very easy to work with.  Overall, I have been thoroughly impressed with the level of professionalism received from GPRS and would not hesitate in recommending their services.”

Put the Advanced Technology of
Ground Sonar to Work for You!

Locating Rebar and Post-Tension cables with Rain Forest Plumbing in Phoenix, Arizona

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems recently completed a project for Rain Forest Plumbing in Phoenix, Arizona. Rain Forest Plumbing needed to core several holes in a post tension slab.  Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was quickly able to locate the post tension cables within the area, and clearly mark them on the slab.  Additionally, Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was able to locate several electrical conduits that were in the vicinity of the concrete cores.

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is ideal for precise location of rebar & post-tension cables prior to saw cutting and/or core drilling, mapping of electrical conduits, detection of sub-surface voids and utilities, and detection of underground storage tanks.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems provides GPR services throughout Arizona, including the greater Phoenix and Tucson areas.

Ground Penetrating Radar is devoted to helping our customers in Arizona locate hidden underground elements. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is an extremely advanced and specialized technology that acts as a kind of ground sonar. GPR can perform detailed underground mapping and provide necessary information on buried utilities, buried rebar, and any other hidden underground objects. This Ground Penetrating Radar technology has been used all over Arizona and the rest of the country.

Ground Penetrating Radar has a variety of purposes, including:

• GPR can map for underground concrete deterioration.
• Ground sonar can find post-tension locations.
• GPR can create underground concrete x-rays.
• Ground radar is perfect for locating building foundations.
• GPR can safely locate buried utilities.

No other underground scanning method in Arizona or anywhere else is as safe, reliable, and fast as Ground Penetrating Radar. Our ground sonar technology uses no radiation, therefore it can be used in high population areas like Tempe and Tucson without endangering people or having to clear large areas. In fact, Ground Penetrating Radar is safe to use in any situation, because our ground sonar equipment meets all FCC and Arizona regulations.

The highly trained and professional ground sonar technicians at GPR Arizona can provide two or three-dimensional underground images of any location we scan. No one in Arizona has more experience in underground mapping than Ground Penetrating Radar.

Our mission: Ground Penetrating Radar in Arizona is dedicated to scanning for underground concrete structures and locating buried or hidden underground elements. We are here to put our training in all the latest ground sonar and underground scanning technology at our Arizona customer’s fingertips.
